This is great lesson format for a lot of folks. Sometimes schedules or technology limit us from having a live video lesson. This is way for you to get the lesson you want and view it whenever you have time. This is how it works. If you want a specific lesson on a player ie. (George Barnes, Pee Wee Crayton) or want to woodshed ideas from a specific tune like Billy Butler’s Honey Boy just tell me and I’ll make you a custom video within two days of your order if its something more challenging I’ll let you know how long. The video will be from 20-25 minutes downloaded through hightail and played through your Quicktime Player. I really enjoy the challenge and this format allows us to jump down rabbit holes and dig up some cool stuff. After you order send me a message and I’ll get on it!!

I had the pleasure of seeing Tommy play in Glasgow. The solos he played on Deke Dickerson’s Deep River blew me away, and I asked for a custom lesson to dig into them. Rather than just tab out the solos and playing them slow like some guys do, Tommy took me through the ideas behind his approach. Starting with basic and alternate grips, then onto phrasing with double stops, arpegios, slides and pulls, and referencing key players along the way, the lesson packed in a whole lot of information. These custom lessons will not only teach you how to play the tune you asked for, but will give you a tool set for building your own ideas on the theme. It’s helped me to break out of limitations I had for a long time, and my playing is improving much quicker now. I highly recommended a custom lesson from Tommy.
