Is it time to do some more backing tracks? I’ll take the liberty of ego and make some formal requests: (anyone else want to nudge Obi-Wan Kenobi for more?

    All of Me
    Coquette
    Out of Nowhere
    Laughing at Life
    Six Appeal
    Stuffy
    Rose Room
    Sweet Georgia Brown
    Honey Suckle Rose
    Oh, Lady be Good
    After You’ve gone
    Dinah
    Grand Slam
    Flying Home

It appears this list is a shameless and selfish request…oh well, you never know till you ask

I know it is not Tommy, BUT Jonathan Stout has “playalong tracks” for a couple of those tunes on his Swing Guitar Blog (http://www.campusfive.com/swingguitarblog/?currentPage=2). I think All of Me, Dinah, and Six Appeal are on there.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I’ll check that out.

I am for sure going to do another series of backing tracks. Craner has for sure put a good list out there. I have been compiling a list of song forms and specific songs that I think are cool to practice over. I will also include some Western derived tracks as well. Here is the list as it stands right now. If any of you have some suggestions like Craner please let me know.

    A Good un- Bill Jennings
    Annie Laurie- Tiny Grimes
Slow Boat to China- Jimmie Rivers
    Seventh and Union- Hank Garland
    Swing in Bb
Rhy Changes with alternate Bridge Bb
    Stuffy- Jennings, Parker
    Rose Room- C.C
Bob Wills Don’t forget about me when I’m gone, something with a III-VI in the chorus

    Let me know boys

Good list Tommy. A swing in F (like Tiny Grimes’ Morgantini with Mime) would be cool too.
