This is my second EP! I was hoping to have this out quite awhile ago, but it just didn’t happen. This product is the result of a few different sessions. I was very pleased to have my friend Paul Pigat on a couple of tracks. The trio consisted of a few different bass players and couple different drummers. For the two tunes with Paul Pigat I had my friend Kip Dabbs on drums and former Memphis Kings band mate Michael Turturro on bass. I couldn’t of been happier with the results. On the the cuts “Dood I did”, a hillbilly version of a Tiny Grimes tune, “Nolen’s Bounce” a tribute to Jimmy Nolen I used Kenny Huff on Bass and Ron Felton on Drums. The most recent session was probably my favorite. I took a stab at interpreting Mary Osborne’s rendition of “I Love Paris” I also tried my version of the Bill Jennings cut “A good Un”. Miss Lou was inspired by a the Grant Green record Grant’s first stand. I had Ron Felton again and bass player John Dominguez. I hope you enjoy these tunes, and I look forward to hear your opinions. Thank you!!
